The importance of a demo account is not always appreciated. However a demo account gives you great insight about trading and as you are still starting out you really need that. Some traders start off in the real world without taking the time to practise a bit in a demo account and in my opinion that is no a good idea. A demo account can be very helpful and it should be considered as a primary step when starting to trade. In time you can then move on more confidently in actual trading. Did you use a demo account when you started trading, and if so how much time did you spend trading solely in a demo account?

I think that at least 4-6 months you need to test on a demo and then start with a small lot on a real account.
