It is often best to store most of your crypto in a cold wallet as this is a more secure method. Then a hot wallet can be used for smaller amounts, whcih you will want to use for trading.

It is also best to physically keep a record of the recovery phrases of the wallets. Have these stored securely and in a way whcih only you have access. Never share with anyone as private keys should truly be kept private and for your eyes only! Do not be tempted to store them on your computer!
