What is the share price?
The share price is the cost of one share of a company's stock. Basically, the share price is the highest price at which someone is willing and able to pay for a share or even the lowest price at which it could be acquired.
A share price is the current market value of a single unit of a company’s stock. It represents how much investors are willing to pay to own a portion of that company. Share prices fluctuate continuously during trading hours based on supply and demand, company performance, market sentiment, and broader economic factors.

For publicly traded companies, share prices are listed on stock exchanges like the NYSE or NASDAQ. A rising share price often indicates investor confidence, while a falling price may signal concerns about the company’s future.

While the share price reflects market perception, it does not always represent the company’s true value. Investors often use other metrics like earnings, revenue, and P/E ratio to evaluate whether a share is overvalued or undervalued.
