What is safe haven?
Is a globally traded currency that is expected to hold or increase in value during periods of high volatility. It is distinguished by the long-term stability of its purchasing power and frequently serves as a reliable and stable store of value. The following currencies are frequently regarded as safe havens: USD, EUR, CHF, and GBP.
A safe haven is an asset that retains or increases in value during times of market turbulence or economic uncertainty. Investors flock to these assets to protect their wealth when riskier investments, like stocks or currencies, are highly volatile. Common examples of safe-haven assets include gold, U.S. Treasury bonds, and the Swiss franc. These assets are perceived as stable due to factors such as limited supply, government backing, or historical resilience during crises. Safe havens are not guaranteed to rise in value, but they are generally less likely to experience drastic losses compared to other investments. Their demand tends to spike during financial instability, as they provide a hedge against market risks.
