What is a bullish CRT setup?
A bullish Candle Range Theory (CRT) setup is a trading pattern that helps traders identify potential upward price movements by analysing a candle's high and low. The basic idea is to use a selected candle as a reference range and watch how the market reacts around its boundaries. In a bullish CRT setup, price typically moves below the reference candle's low to collect sell-side liquidity before reversing and moving higher. This movement is often called a liquidity sweep.

After taking liquidity, traders look for signs of bullish confirmation, such as a strong upward candle, a market structure shift, or a break above a nearby short-term high. Some traders also use Fair Value Gaps (FVGs) or order blocks to identify potential entry zones. Once confirmation appears, they may enter a buy position, placing a stop-loss below the swept low or another logical invalidation level.

Profit targets are generally set near previous highs, buy-side liquidity, or other important resistance areas. Traders should also consider the risk-to-reward ratio before entering a position.

A bullish CRT setup can be applied across different timeframes and financial markets, including forex, cryptocurrencies, stocks, and indices. However, not every liquidity sweep leads to a bullish reversal. Market structure, trading sessions, volatility, and overall market direction can all influence the outcome. For better results, traders should wait for confirmation rather than entering immediately after price breaks below the reference candle's low. Backtesting the strategy and following consistent risk management rules can help traders evaluate its reliability and avoid unnecessary losses.
