A primary goal of scalping is to enter the market quickly during peak trading hours, get a small amount of pips and leave immediately. Even though a single trade can only generate limited gains, a trader can generate significant gains if he or she executes several of these during the day. A scalper must know when to stop, as continuing to trade for a long time (overtrading) may cause a large loss of the balance.
