How to draw a vertical line in MetaTrader 5 (MT5)?
To draw a vertical line in MetaTrader 5 (MT5), follow these simple steps:
Open your MT5 platform and load the desired chart.
On the toolbar at the top, locate the "Insert" menu.
Hover over "Lines", then click on "Vertical Line".
Alternatively, use the shortcut by clicking the vertical line icon directly from the toolbar.
Once selected, click on the chart where you want the vertical line to appear. It will be placed at that exact time point on the chart.
To move it, left-click and drag the line horizontally.
For customisation, double-click the line to activate it, then right-click and select "Vertical Line Properties".
Here, you can adjust the line’s colour, thickness, style, and the exact date/time.
