What are tokenized shares?
Tokenized shares, also known as security tokens, are a form of digital assets that represent ownership in a company or other assets. These tokens are created using blockchain technology and can be traded on digital asset exchanges, just like traditional stocks. Tokenized shares offer several advantages over traditional stock ownership, including increased liquidity, faster settlement times, and the ability to fractionalize ownership. They also offer a way for companies to raise capital through initial coin offerings (ICOs), rather than traditional initial public offerings (IPOs). However, security tokens are subject to regulations and compliance, just like traditional securities.
