How does Binance Bridge transfer cryptocurrency between networks?
Binance Bridge is a cross-chain service designed to help users move compatible digital assets between different blockchain networks. Instead of transferring the same token directly from one blockchain to another, a bridge generally uses a locking and minting or wrapping process to represent an asset on the destination network.

For example, when a supported asset is moved from one network to another, the original asset may be locked in a smart contract or custody mechanism on the source blockchain. A corresponding representation of that asset can then be issued on the destination blockchain. This allows the value of the original cryptocurrency to be used within applications and wallets operating on the receiving network.

The process typically requires the user to connect a compatible wallet, select the cryptocurrency, choose the source and destination networks, enter the amount, and confirm the transaction. The transfer may require network fees, and completion time can vary depending on blockchain congestion and transaction processing.

When moving an asset back to its original network, the bridged representation can generally be burned or otherwise removed from circulation while the original asset is released on the source network. This mechanism is intended to maintain a relationship between the original asset and its cross-chain representation.

Users should carefully check the supported networks, token contract, destination address, and applicable fees before confirming a transfer. Sending an asset through an unsupported network or to an incompatible address can result in permanent loss. Because bridge infrastructure can involve smart contracts and other technical components, users should also consider the security risks associated with cross-chain transfers.
