Choose your Bitcoin mining hardware
The first step is to select the hardware that will be used to mine bitcoin. Many people begin with an old computer to gain an understanding of how bitcoin mining works. To make money, you must use optimised mining hardware, such as a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) or Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) miner.
A high-speed internet connection of at least 50 kilobytes per second is also required for bitcoin mining, as are no restrictions on data uploads and downloads. Bitcoin mining nodes typically use up to 200 gigabytes of data per month for uploads and around 20 gigabytes for downloads.
