The dual account structure, spread-based versus raw spread, is genuinely useful but only if you understand your own trading volume well enough to pick correctly. I started on spread-based, which was fine for lower frequency trading, then switched once I realized I was trading often enough that raw spread plus commission worked out cheaper. I wish there was a simple tool to help traders figure that out upfront instead of learning it the hard way. Once I had the right account type, the actual trading experience has been smooth.
