What is a financial review?

A financial review is a CPA-performed assessment of a company's financial records that reports on the plausibility of its financial statements, giving restricted assurance.

In contrast to an audit, a review is smaller in scope, still giving an assessment of a business's records, yet restricting the analysis to analytical procedures and assessment of the management.
It is basically an overview or assessment of an organisation's financial records, with the aim of offering a proper insight in how the firm is doing in some key areas.
A financial review is a process to examine account balances, expenditures, and income to identify ways to bring an individual's finances back into balance. A financial review usually starts with a comprehensive personal budget to evaluate where one might be spending too much money or not saving enough.
