As an individual investor, I always take a low risk in the market and I always target small profits in the market because I have a small account so I can easily survive in the market for long term while my equity also grows so that I can earn more money in the future.

Setting a risk percentage is a good idea as you cannot really say how much in terms of an amount since this will inevitably vary from one trader to another, and the capital available for investment. A safe percentage of the capital is recommended so that you do not end up in a situation where you could lose too much and not be able to recuperate from a loss.
